Ranavat Botanics is a relatively new skincare line that recently made its debut at Indie Beauty Expo in New York. The brand's founder, Michelle Ranavat, is passionate about sourcing unique ingredients and blending these ingredients together to create a range of luxurious masks and mists. Her formulations are based on recipes that are over 5000 years old and each formulation is supported by the art of Indian Ayurvedic medicine. Michelle unearths some fantastic ingredients in her concoctions, sourcing botanicals such as neem, ginseng and Ashwagandha.
The main inspiration behind the Ranavat Botanics line are the Indian Royals who Michelle says 'were obsessed with living eternally and spent their days being pampered'. She goes on to say, "the Indian Royals highly prioritised self-care and had a sound understanding of what they put on their bodies would have an impact on their longevity and quality of life". This way of living influenced the Ranavat Botanics main belief in finding one's 'Royal Ritual', a ritual that encourages moments of self-care and pure indulgence.
Consisting of 6 products (with plans to expand later on), Ranavat Botanics has debuted with 3 masks and 3 tonics - products that demand moments of relaxation and pampering - a welcome relief for many. Michelle herself is a huge fan of masks, saying “I personally love masks. I think they are so luxurious, and I love the idea of customisation and freshness.” A little while ago, I had the pleasure of being sent the Ranavat Botanics Kiss of Royal Tea Masque and Jasmine Tonique with a little message encouraging me to go on a journey of self-care to discover my own royal ritual. Since receiving these little treats, I have been happily using the mask almost every week now and have found that it does take me on a journey of self-indulgence and also leaves my skin looking nourished, hydrated and oh so very calm.Read More
