I don't know about you but I think makeup for me is a way to chill out and have a little bit of fun expressing myself. Makeup for me is fun, I don't really delve too hard into scientific claims and if there are any, I often flat out ignore it. Skincare for me is something I enjoy but take seriously, makeup is an area where I can experiment a little more with and 'loosen' up a little. I am always happy to chop and change products like blush, lipstick or how I do eyeliner depending on my mood and what I am wearing for the day. I don't delve too much into ingredients for most makeup products but I am big on packaging, how a product feels, how easy and functional it is for me to apply and of course how it looks on my face.
For me, makeup is all about texture, colour and expression. I love luxe packaging and I love the overall look and feel of a brand. When it comes to makeup I personally love a natural and sheer base, hate applying eye makeup and love having fun with a bold lip (I have various shades of red and berry). For me, Bobbi Brown is one of those makeup brands that has a makeup philosophy similar to mine and resonates with me greatly - "At Bobbi Brown we see beauty. We see confidence. We believe a woman is most beautiful when she looks and feels like herself". One of my first ever bronzers that I purchased with my first ever paycheck was the infamous cult product, the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick which was then followed by their infamous gel eyeliner. Mind you that was almost 10 years ago now and things have changed a little at Bobbi Brown and I have been introduced to some exciting products that are quite new to me!Read More
