It's August already and I can't believe that 2016 has just flown by so quickly. It was just under a year ago that the Mr proposed to me and now...in exactly 6 months I am getting married. Where has all that time gone?! Wedding planning is stressful and it is a lot of work (especially since we are planning to have 2 receptions in two different countries) so I find that organisation is key to making everything as less stressful as possible. So far this mind set has worked absolute wonders for both of us, as we have organised most of our wedding vendors already and this has taken a huge weight off both of our shoulders. It's a team effort and I think it is so important to involve your significant other in all stages of the planning process...even if they 'think' they won't have an opinion. To be honest the most stressful part of our own wedding planning process is handling our families hahaha.
In saying that though, I have started to think about how I will look on the day in terms of hair, makeup and most importantly for me - skincare. I hate having so much make-up packed on my face and as we are having an Australian Summer wedding, the big day is going to no doubt be a hot one, so my skin looking at its absolute best is important to me. I have started to look at perhaps locking down a more solid skincare routine, different products that I could potentially incorporate into it and also look into different treatments that I would not normally get on a regular basis. I thought I would share this 'bridal' (I hate that word by the way...it conjures up images of bridezilla) skincare journey with you all and call it 'The Wedding Notes'. I'll post something in the series once or twice a month that has something to do with my own wedding journey, or things that I have come across, or even tips and recommendations from other bloggers. To start this series off, I look at some basic skincare tips that brides should perhaps look into to get that luminous bridal glow.Read More
